Thread Lift

Thread Lifts in Vancouver B.C.

Thread lift is a cosmetic procedure that can help address various aesthetic concerns, such as skin laxity and volume loss. As we age, our skin loses collagen and elasticity, resulting in sagging and wrinkles. Thread lift can help reduce wrinkles and restore volume, particularly in areas like the cheeks and under the eyes. It can also be used for facial contouring to enhance features like the jawline, nose, and chin. Unlike surgical facelifts, thread lift is safe and minimally invasive, with less risk and shorter recovery time.

Dr. Godley has travelled to Aptos Headquarters and Thread Manufactory in Tblisi, Georgia. At Aptos, he trained with the inventor of Threadlifting and renowned plastic surgeon Dr. Marlen Sulamanidze. We are pleased to bring the art of PDO and PLA and other Threads home to Vancouver.

    What is a Thread Lift?

Threadlifting involves inserting dissolvable surgical sutures under the skin and using the threads to pull, lift, and semi-permanently reposition the area.

One of the top providers in Vancouver, Godley threads, are designed to stimulate collagen production in the skin as they dissolve in the body over the 12-24 months following installation.

With minimal downtime, the eyes, cheeks, and jawline are all excellent areas for treatment. The results last anywhere from nine months to two years. The treatment promotes collagen production and neovascularization to renew your skin at the cellular level. All of this works together to give you enhanced skin texture.

Thread Lift FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does thread lift last?

This is a fantastic question and one that can be a little challenging to answer precisely. Dr. Godley generally advises that results last an average of 1 to 2 years for face thread lifts and 2 to 3 years for nose thread lifts. You may wonder why the range is broad — this is because the return of skin laxity and collagen loss varies from person to person.

Several factors influence this, including hormone balance, sun exposure, diet, smoking or alcohol use, and weight fluctuations. The fat pads around the eyes and cheeks, in particular, can increase or decrease with weight changes, which affects skin laxity.

If you are in good overall health, maintain hormone balance, avoid major weight fluctuations, and follow a healthy lifestyle, it is quite possible to experience results at the longer end of that scale with this procedure.

Are thread lifts permanent?

No, thread lifts are not permanent and the threads dissolve over time. The collagen-stimulating and rejuvenation effect of thread lifts can last up to 2-years.

Are thread lifts painful?

A thread lift procedure is generally not painful. Local anesthesia is used to numb the treatment area, which significantly reduces any discomfort. Most patients experience only mild pressure or tugging during the procedure.
